842 Friends.....

My facebook profile says that I have 842 friends. When I go through the list, yes, i do actually know all of them, but they aren't my "friends". Why is it, that my facebook says that number, but usually, I feel like I only have one. One friend. Don't get me wrong, one is plenty, but I feel like sometimes, having more than one would be so nice.
